The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is scheduled to begin work in April on a roadway project to widen SR-68 (Redwood Road) from Bangerter Highway to 400 South in Saratoga Springs. Construction on this project will widen SR-68 to two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. It will also include widened shoulders and a bike lane in each direction. The Saratoga Springs Fire Department will be issuing burn permits to the residents of Saratoga Springs. The burn season for this year will be April 1st –April 30th. Burn permits may be purchased at the Saratoga Springs Fire Department 995 West 1200 North between the hours of 8 am- 5pm Monday- Friday. Residential burn permits are $7.50 and are good throughout the burn season for 2008.

The Utah County Health Department has concluded its investigation into alleged environmental problems in the Harvest Hills area of the City. Their conclusion states that "The disease rates in Saratoga Springs, Utah, appear to be normal. No environmental hazards have been detected by environmental tests conducted over the recent past."
