SR-68 Mid-Construction Survey

Segment 4 - Beginning just south of the intersection at Bangerter Highway and ending at the south end of Bluffdale proper. The east leg of the intersection at 14400 South has been widened and traffic shifted to the north in order to allow work to begin on the canal below. Please note that due to this shift in alignment, the timing of the traffic signal at this intersection has been adjusted to allow safe left turn movements. The project team is working to optimize the timing of the light to minimize congestion, but motorists should plan for some extra travel time in this area. The adjusted timing is scheduled to last through April. Thank you for your patience.
Crews will continue excavation activities on the hill near the northwest corner of 14400 S. and SR-68 and have now begun installation of the decorative retaining wall. Work will be limited to the shoulder of the road. Work on the irrigation canals throughout this segment will continue this week. Work on a number of utilities in this segment is also continuing.

Polar Plunge-Last Chance!

Tuesday, February 17, 2009

Well, here is your last chance to get behind the biggest event since the Beatles coming to America. The Saratoga Springs Special Olympics "Polar Plunge" is only one week away. I just wanted to give everyone one last opportunity to become involved. If you are not planning to join us in a quick dip in the lake, the wonderful, vivacious "Cole Co est.1972" is looking for sponsors. All donations are a tax write off. We will take any donations from $1.00 to $1,000,000! Check it out at www.sout.org. I promise this is the last word, anyway after jumping in the lake I won't be able to type or talk.

Thx
Sgt. K Cole
