Public Works Department - Streets Maintenance I Employee
Salary: $15.28/hour plus benefits

Performs and is responsible for assisting in the ongoing operation and maintenance of streets and other duties around the City.
Job discription includes but is not limited to the following: Recieves project assignments and completion schedules; takes assigned equipment, materials and manpower to the appropriate site and completes the project as directed by the supervisor. Operates specialized heavy equipment such as single and tandem axle dump trucks, road graders, frontend loaders, backhoe, bucket trucks, and snow plows. Operates trucks, snowplows, and sanders in hauling, plowing, and cleaning streets; performs cement work on flat surfaces, curbs, and gutter; grouts surfaces and joints; performs in a variety of street maintenance projects and road work; patches pot holes, transports road materials, maintains roadways. Participates in work site safety procedures; sets up barricades, safety signs and signal equipment; may perform flagging assignments to assure work zone safety. This employee also functions as one of the City's principal “on-call” employees for after hours emergencies related to area of responsibility and snow plowing.
Minimum qualifications may include graduation from high school and/or two(2) years of experience working with public works systems such as streets, water facilities, sewer facilities, storm drainage; or an equivalent combination of job-related education and experience. Applicants should have the ability to obtain OSHA Confined Space Certification, OSHA Trench Safety Training, First Aid and CPR Certification, and a Utah CDL License within (6) months of hiring. Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds.
