City Treasurer

The position of the City Treasurer is appointed by the City Council. The Treasurer is responsible for the deposit of all City revenues, management of investments, signing of all checks issued by the City, and ensuring adequate balances in bank accounts sufficient to honor all disbursements. In the City of Saratoga Springs, the Treasurer has been given the additional responsibility to complete financial tracking systems that are designed to periodically evaluate the status of the City's fees, charges, revenues and expenses. The Treasurer also assists in the City's annual budgeting process.
